A Guizhou-based manganese flake smelter, with an output of 2,000tpm, revealed to Asian Metal that current manganese flake price is RMB14,100-14,200/t (USD2,064-2,079/t) ex works and goes stable these days due to the high production cost. Demand from downstream consumers keeps weak and few inquiries are received. The source is fulfilling some orders with no stocks on hand.

According to the source, most smelters are in operation in local places and supply is not tight with low demand, although most smelters do not have stocks.
